Paul Anderson, the Chief Executive Officer of Australian company Broken Hill Proprietary Co. Ltd (BHP), is orchestrating a AS$57 billion merger between his company and Billiton. American-born Anderson is emerging as a hard-edged businessman, and not just an easygoing corporate executive.
