Star broker Quattrone faces charges

Frank Quattrone, a former trader at Credit Suisse First Boston, has been indicted on charges related to obstruction of justice and witness tampering. Mr. Quattrone has been accused of sending communications to his associates at CSFB warning them that securities regulators had launched an investigation.

Web sites said powerless to foil hacker attacks

Article Abstract:

A new report from Carnegie Mellon University said that Web sites cannot prevent denial-of-service attacks by computer hackers. The report, which was funded by the U.S. government, will aid the university's Computer Emergency Response Team as it tracks and investigates global hacking activity.
