Bell Globe media (BGM), BCE Inc.'s, media arm, posted a 15.3 % gains in operating profit in the fourth quarter of 2003 due to CTV that boosted advertising sales by 8 percent, helping BGM improve its operating profit. CTV Inc. maintained a strong TV schedule with 13 of the 20 most-watched shows of the broadcast season with a major contribution of the U.S. franchise programs enjoyed by big audiences, especially programs like 'Law and Order Series'.

Petrocan buys stake in North Sea field

Petro-Canada has made a $1.15 billion cash deal to buy a 30 percent stake in a large North Sea oil project. Petrocan estimates that by 2007, its share of production from the operation would be about 60,000 barrels a day.
