Driving in Vermont in the winter inevitably leads to getting stuck in the snow or ice. These conditions not only bring out the best in Vermonters, but also highlight the fact that everyone needs help at some point and in some form, and nobody can get unstuck alone.

Surviving deer season: a lesson in ambiguity

People who live in rural areas must take steps to ensure the safety of themselves, their pets and their livestock during deer season. Hunting teaches moral lessons on the seriousness of life and the need for tolerance to both hunters and non-hunters.
