Sun fares worst in paper war: study

A new study from the Audit Bureau of Circulations reveals that the Toronto Star newspaper, which is owned by Sun Media Corp., is losing market share in Toronto, Ontario. The study shows that the paper dropped about 5% in paid circulation.

The National Post posted a US$4.9 million loss for the 2000 fourth-quarter. Increased competition for readers caused the newspaper to post the loss for the period.
