Talbots dresses for success on three fronts

Article Abstract:

Talbots Inc sells its merchandise through multi-channel marketing consisting of the store, catalogs and online store. The three-sided sales strategy, with each side supporting and strengthening the other, could become the model for major retailers in the US. The reason is that customers who use all three sales venues spend 25% more with that retailer, underscoring the strong influence Web sites have on driving in- store and catalog sales.
