Immigration debate: are voters ignoring immigration?

The illegal immigration is no longer considered such a vital issue for voters as health care or the Iraq War. Even though the U.S. presidential candidates are still laying a lot of emphasis on illegal immigration, focus has shifted due to the public being unable to arrive at a consensus regarding this issue.

Democrats are not gaining any points with the White House through their investigations of the administration. Democrats are pursuing many other investigations including intertwined issues at the General Services Administration, the federal government's main procurement agency.
