Article Abstract:

The author of this articles in the beginning of the 1998 picked some stocks, which gained much by the end of the year. He bought 4000 shares of Solution 6 at 78 cents, but by December its stocks had plunged to 73 cents as a result of a board reconstruction. He also bought stocks in Greenfields Coal Company, Novogen, Ci Technologies, Acacia Resources, and Gilt Edge Mining. He lists the winners and losers of 1998.

The shares in mineral commodities are traded at a huge discount due to the development of a world-class heavy minerals project in South Africa. The valuation by SRK consulting, which assessed a fully diluted net present value post-tax of $ 1.72 for each mineral commodity share including the conversion of all outstanding options is highlighted.
