Learning a new language calls attention to sounds. Learning a new alphabet calls attention to minute facts of form. Shapes are representative of other known shapes. An A is a fusion of leaning shapes separated by a firm crossbar. Or two lovers kissing across a tale. The Greek alphabet derived for the Roman alphabet and it's hapes are also epresentative shapes

In an effort to broaden their audiences, symphony orchestras are increasingly bringing classical and contemporary musicians. A composer describes one such 'crossover' effort with a rock singer and the Oregon Symphony orchestra.
