The end of Europe

Article Abstract:

Europe is experiencing a new beginning, where the existing members of the European Union will be joined by ten new members belonging to the communist countries of Eastern Europe, the Baltics, Cyprus and Malta, thus making it the most ambitious enlargement of the European community. The Europe of the future will move towards discord and division rather than unity and people will look at the present era and will remember it as an era with a golden age, where harmony and good feelings existed.

The trials of big business

Article Abstract:

Human-rights activists have focused on the issue of corporate citizenship since US companies began devising "codes of conduct" that ban child labor and workplace abuse. Violators of such laws have been shamed and forced to pay higher wages. Human-rights activists do not believe the presence of certain US companies abroad is a force for economic growth and social change.
