The flaw ?20; 7 ppLeser, David Australia?s efforts to enforce laws against marijuana are very costly in terms of taxpayer money and social costs, even though the World Health Organization says that marijuana is safer than alcohol or tobacco. The Netherlands? approach to marijuana is radically different, under the philosophy that a law should not harm society more than the offense itself. The Netherlands combines access to ?soft? drugs with education programs and controls to ensure that the drug does not become a social or public health problem.

The Netherlands' approach to marijuana is radically different, under the philosophy that a law should not harm society more than the offense itself. The Netherlands combines access to 'soft' drugs with education programs and controls to ensure that the drug does not become a social or public health problem.

Sinking feeling

Australian National water policy is in trouble, as National Farmer Federation (NFF) wants government to share any financial risk that might occur in the future. On occasion of NFF conference in Canberra on June 8, 2004 predicament of the organization Peter Corish stated that they would reject the proposal if Government didn't compromise on the risk issue.
