Employment in the automobile industry has already suffered because companies moved production to Mexico because of low labor costs. Employees in the industry discuss their fears that NAFTA will cause further unemployment as more jobs are moved to Mexico.

Operation FUNTAXI

Article Abstract:

Howard Wolle and Brent Jollymore negotiated a deal to sell 65,000 Ford Canada cars to FUNTAXI, Argentina's national association of taxi owners, for $1.5 billion. The agreement will return 2,000 laid-off auto workers to the Ford plant.

Bumpy road ahead

Honda Canada Ltd. president Isao Suzuki says US trade regulations are unfair and have provoked calls for a boycott of Japanese automobiles. Honda is being investigated by US Customs about the North-American contents of its cars.
