New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Roy Romanow, who is a strong favorite to be reelected in 1995, has governed Saskatchewan with a practical, fiscally prudent approach to social democracy. Liberal Lynda Haverstock and Progressive Conservative Bill Boyd decry Romanow's health care budget cuts.
