The new Cosmo girl: Canadian Bonnie Fuller is remaking a feminie icon

Article Abstract:

Fuller, 40, takes over the daunting task of revamping Cosmopolitan magazine after the departure of founding editor Helen Gurley Brown. Hearst Corp appointed Fuller deputy editor in Jan 1996. Brown was not happy with the transition and took out an ad in the New York Times protesting it.

Reporter Andre Pratte's essay charged that lies were common among Canadian politicians and that the media failed to question many in return for off-the-record leaks and other favors. Pratte's essay underscored campaign coverage problems the media has already begun to address.
