Article Abstract:

Reports reveal that semi-intelligent virtual agents that are figment of computer's imagination, displaying their own behaviour, are projected onto a life-size screen. It is further reported that in this virtual world, the woman, child, soldier and crowd members are all agents whose personalities are determined by settings that make them friendly or hostile, defensive or antagonistic, calm or agitated.

The 1999 Australian Online User Report reveals that 27% of Internet users name e-mail as their primary reason for using the internet, a 3% increase from last year. Effects of increased e-mail use are discussed, such as higher productivity as well as easier ways to access e-mail, including the use of phone keypads and Short Message Service (SMS).
