Nurse visitation for adolescent mothers

Article Abstract:

The two-year postbirth infant health and maternal outcomes of an early intervention program (EIP) of home visitation is evaluated by public health nurses (PHNs). The EIP that improved in selected areas of infant and maternal health were sustained for a period of one year following program termination.

Testing the theory of planned behavior to predict mammography intention

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to test the 'Theory of Planned Behavior' to predict mammography intention among rural women in South-eastern Louisiana. Overall, the 'Theory of Planned Behavior' explained 24% of the variance with perceived behavioral control as the strongest predictor of mammography intention.
