To Tobruk, with love

Article Abstract:

The complete set of correspondence between John Johnson, an Australian soldier, who died during the siege of Tobruk and his wife, Josie, describes their love for each other and makes the letters into something very special. A doco-drama, called Love Letters, based on John and Josie's letters and using archival footage with a dramatic recreation of John's life and his family has been produced by ABC and will be screened soon.

School coaching under examination: why parents are willing to pay to give their children a better chance at elite education

Australian parents are hiring academic coaches to prepare their children to pass examinations necessary to gain admission into select government high schools. Educators question whether coaching methods are effective and whether the competitive atmosphere created by them is beneficial for primary school students. Coaches typically work in colleges that offer six-week programs.
