To store data, a hologram 'picture' is worth a million bits

Article Abstract:

Computer data storage is limited by the usage of media that records bits on surfaces which could be transcended by the development of holograph-based storage systems. The technology, which uses three-dimensions, can store huge amounts of data in a very compact format. InPhase Technologies is developing products for commercial and military applications.
