Torstar shares climb on buyout speculation

Toronto Sun publisher resigns

Mark Stevens, the publisher of the Sun Media Corp.'s Toronto Sun newspaper, has resigned. The publisher has denied rumors that his resignation was related to the acquisition of Sun Media by Quebecor Inc. for $983 million in 1999.
