Traevlling lawyers set up SARS clause

Illinois-based Baker and McKenzie will offer its clients a new form of insurance that will include a SARS clause. The hotel cancellation insurance will protect business travellers from financial penalties if they cancel their hotel reservations due to travel restrictions over the SARS outbreak.

Legacy cites SARS for payout problems

The owner of Toronto's Fairmont Royal York hotel, Legacy Hotels, is blaming its decision to halt cash distribution on the SARS crisis. Industry analysts expect that Legacy Hotels will resume cash distribution in the second quarter for 2004.
