Truth hurts

An overview is presented of some of the theories on how the human brain functions, with the view that it can be hard to distinguish between accurate interpretations and those which are considered as bizarre. However, it is sometimes difficult to disprove improbable theories.

No brain without strain

Issues are presented concerning the importance of continuous mental exercise for the health of the brain in old age. The ability of the brain to retain capacity for change and plasticity into adult life is discussed.
