Uncertainty, posttraumatic stress, and health behavior in young adult childhood cancer survivors

Article Abstract:

A cross-sectional correlation test of the mediating model for the relationships among uncertainty, posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), and health promotion behaviors in the young adult survivors of childhood cancers is carried out. The conclusions demonstrated that the correlation between PTSS and health promotion behaviors is arbitrated by uncertainty and it is a feasible target for theory-based nursing interventions used to enhance health promotion behaviors in young adult survivors of childhood cancer.
