WTO backs Canada in jet market dogfight with Brazil

Montreal, Que.-based Bombardier Inc. has achieved a significant victory over Brazil through a ruling by the World Trade Organization. The WTO, in a case that revolved around the global market for regional jets, ruled that Canada's funding program for companies such as Bombardier were legal.

WTO sets auto pact deadline

Article Abstract:

Canada will be required by the World Trade Organization to discard an accord between auto manufacturers. The pact was forged by Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd., DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. and General Motors of Canada Ltd. to import vehicles offshore duty free.
