Wal-Mart Invades, and Mexico Gladly Surrenders

Article Abstract:

Wal-Mart Stores is having the same economic impact on Mexico as it is on the US. The discount retailer has 100,164 employed Mexicans in its Mexico stores while applying the same employment policies that include lower retail wages and no labor unions for employees. Wal-Mart's cut-throat strategies are welcomed in a country with a struggling economy because of the number of new jobs it creates annually.
