Where Faith Grows, Fired by Pentecostalism

Article Abstract:

The growth of pentecostalism in Nigeria and Brazil reflect changes in the ways Christianity and Catholicism used to dominate religious belief and conversion throughout the world. Even Muslim fundamentalists have experienced pentecostal encroachment in areas that they believed they were controlling. Pentecostalism has offered alternatives as well as solutions to people who followed Christian and Catholic dogma but found no hope through their religious participation. Pentecostal services are more like religious rallies with heightened emotionalism and religious fervor that cater to followers in developing nations.
