The Brunelle family is French-Canadian and firm supporters of Quebecois independence. They cautiously hope that this time the support of yes voters will be enough to pass the referendum on Quebec autonomy. They feel that Quebec must be independent to retain its French culture and language.

The traveling hearings for younger voters on Parti Quebecois leader Jacques Parizeau's referendum on separation from Canada have been more interesting than most of the other commission hearings. Several young Quebeckers present their views on separation and the economy in Quebec.
