A planet by any other name..

Article Abstract:

Astronomers have been debating Pluto's status as a major planet since 1980, when it was proposed that the small planet should be reclassified as a minor planet, or asteroid. It has recently been decided that Pluto will retain its status as one of the 9 planets of our solar system. Though it is small, it is the largest body in the Kuiper Belt, and has much in common with Earth.
