Yukos Shareholders Will Vote on Filing for Bankruptcy

With the government raising Yukos Oil Co.'s tax bill to more than $17 billion, it is unlikely that the company can remain solvent. The board of directors has called a shareholders meeting on December 20, to decide whether Yukos should declare bankruptcy.

Russia Moves To Auction Crucial Unit Of Yukos

Article Abstract:

The Russian government has set the minimum bidding price for Yuganskneftegas, the largest crude oil subsidiary of Yukos Oil Co., at $8.65 billion. The sale will go towards paying off more than $24 billion in back taxes owed by Yukos.
