Zapata hopes again to hook a slice of Internet

Article Abstract:

7Zapata Corp. is planning to sell rights to Zap.com, the company's Internet subsidiary, to its investors for $8 per share. However, the move by the fish products company to take advantage of the current Internet craze is not expected to succeed as the firm's investors remain wary following the firm's recent actions. Zapata is currently facing class-action investor lawsuits accusing the company's officers for issuing fraudulent press releases in order to boost the firm's stock price.

What could go wrong

Even if winning the war in Iraq is a certainty, there is the danger of things going wrong such as chemical or biological warfare, oil well fires, broken dams, and U.S. overconfidence. These comments come from Andrew Krepinevich, executive director of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
