In Australia, Harleys make up 10% of all registered motorcycles and a quarter of those in the more than 750 cc category. The Softail, the most popular model, is ridden less than 10,000 km yearly on average. Ernie Westin is on the Boards of Directorate at Silver Top Cabs, but has owned 7 Harleys starting when he was 17, now riding a Heritage Softail.
