Energy SPDR suffers from an oil glut

Article Abstract:

Energy Select Sector SPDR XLE is the oldest and largest natural resources index fund in terms of net assets and it's portfolio shows that it is a concentrated bet on bid domestic oil companies. This fund's huge concentration on big oil companies has hampered its assets over the time and many of the largest holdings in this fund are widely held by more diversified stock funds.

T. Rowe Price New America Growth has replaced Fidelity Capital Appreciation in the Wealth Maker Portfolio. T. Rowe Price New America Growth was selected because manager Joe Milano had crafted a purer growth portfolio and the fund would give the Wealth Maker a consistent shot of tech stocks, which might help if large-cap stocks regain the market's favor.
