Finding value in a growth market

Article Abstract:

Some analysts believe value and growth investments are connected to the business cycle. Analysis over the period between 1978 and 1998 show growth and value investments outperform each other at various times, so a reasonable strategy is to include both kinds of managers in investment portfolios.

Wanted: retail partners

An analysis of Norwich Union Portfolio Partners, formed by the merger of Portfolio partners and Norwich Union, is presented. The new company will handle retail investors unlike its parent, Portfolio Partners, which dealt with only the wholesale market.
