Article Abstract:

The investment portfolio of Lieutenant Darren Rushworth of the Royal Australian Navy is discussed. Rushworth holds a variety of shares and is a smart investor and has no faith in exotic tax shelters such as films, olive trees and ostriches nor is he interested in putting money into another property, because he sees it as an inflation driven investment and believes there is not enough growth in it.

Women's club shows a healthy return

Article Abstract:

An investment club consisting of 20 women health professionals has seen good returns. Only two of the women had ever invested in stock so the group has been an educational experience. At each meeting 4 or 5 stocks are presented and and those that get a two-thirds majority vote are purchased.
