Article Abstract:

The implications of the new disclosure regulations of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on superannuation funds are discussed. As per these regulations, the price to be paid for future returns is to be disclosed making it easier for the investor to select the fund for investment.

A team of experts was asked to guide investors regarding investment opportunities in 2005. It was found that over the past 20 years interest rates have dropped from about 15% on average to 7%, however, the average repayments on home loans have not yet reduced.
