Take the sting out of taxes

The AARP Tax-Aide Program has been operating for 30 years and gives free tax advice to around 1.5 million seniors every year. There are around 31,000 volunteers who work in the program, and in 1998, new technology will make it easier to match seniors with the location nearest their homes.

It is possible that current ideas about retirement are outmoded and wasteful of human resources. The demographic shift that is in progress, with more and more older people in the world, may eventually force a reevaluation of the retirement concept.
