The challenge begins

Article Abstract:

In Australia, Teenage Investor Challenge is causing four 15-year-olds to figure out how to invest A$15,000 each, over a five-year period. Another A$15,000 is being split by twin sisters. At the end, the teens get to keep the money. The program is being set up by the magazine Personal Investment. The teens are to meet with financial planners and the money is to be placed in a suite of managed funds from fund managers First State, Macquarie, Rothschild, Advance, and BT. Most of the teens have at least part of the money in a balanced fund and are looking into diversification.
