The stocks that appear set to sail ahead

Article Abstract:

Stocks with predicted earnings growth of more than 20 percent for the financial year 2004, and trading on price earnings (p/e) multiples below 15 times are presented. Although this approach helped in generating three buying opportunities it also identified three riskier stocks having lower-quality earnings that could lead to disappointing results in the end.

The current downturn in the Australian economy should turn around in the first quarter of 2001 and it is a good time to buy value stocks. Recommended stocks are Telestra, Powerlan and Telecasters Australia. Stocks with recommendations to sell include Prime Television and Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications.
