Germany: Ciba completes expansion

Article Abstract:

Ciba (CSC) has completed a SFr 10mn investment in expanding the production of Tinuvin light stabilisers at its plant in Lampertheim, Germany. This is part of a SFr 70mn investment plan by the Swiss chemicals group in 2000 in the production. Lampertheim is the largest production plant for Tinuvin 770.

GERMANY: NEW STRUCTURE FOR BASF PLASTICS

Article Abstract:

From 1 July 2001 BASF AG will have two new plastics divisions. The styrene plastics (Styrenics) division led by Fred Baumgartner will include also styrene-copolymers. The Performance Polymers division led by Raimar Jahn comprises the fibres and ultraplast activities.
