Senior citizens make-up a large marketing opportunity in the health and beauty aids category. This is due to the rise in their population. Some cosmetics and toiletries have already targeted their products towards this group especially in the skin treatment areas and with hair preparations. This market is growing and has sizable sales potential.

Innovation in hair care is not disappearing. Many manufacturers who have achieved a fine hair product are now fine-tuning their products position. Since there is no product with demonstratable superiority companies are looking for some niche by making their products appear unique.
