Globalisation or Westernisation?: Ethical concerns in the whole biobusiness
Article Abstract:
Preservation and exploitation of the biodiversity of the planet can best be dealt with globally. At the practical level, when it comes to implementation, there is danger that globalization may just be westernization, the Western world being dominant and having the will to dominate the globe. Talk of biodiversity, however, is more and more balanced by talk of biopiracy and biocolonialism. Globalization, westernisation and ethical concerns related to biobusiness are discussed.

Is there an Asian bioethics?
Article Abstract:
There is no one Asian perspective on bioethics or on anything else, since it is not possible to universalizing when discussing Asians. Given the pluralism and multiculturalism that exists in Asia, there is still a basis for a kind of universalist ethics founded on a collage of perspectives from various cultures in Asia. A single standard of morality, however, is not to be found. The existence or lack thereof of Asian bioethics is discussed.
