A ten-thousand-word letter to the Party center

Article Abstract:

Practitioners of Falun Gong respond to an announcement that Falun Gong has been banned in China, in a letter to General Secretary Jiang Zemin and other leaders of the party center, dated July 27, 1999. Points include reasons why Falun Gong does not interfere in politics, why Falun Gong is beneficial for morality and social stability, why Falun Gong does not conflict with Marxism or with Communist Party objectives, and why suppressing Falun Gong is unwise.

I do not approve of teenagers practicing 'qigong'

Article Abstract:

The practice of 'qigong' as promoted by Falun Gong does nothing for the mental or physical health of teenagers. Adolescence should be a time for exploring the body's and mind's limits, but the mystical abilities of those in this sect are false, and teenagers should avoid them.
