Double digit danger

Article Abstract:

It is estimated that half of all developing nations began to address year 2000 computer programming problems in 1999 others have done nothing for various reasons. Countries reporting compliance share no common international definition of what that means, others believe is is a gimmick by the West to sell more equipment, and China and Russia want to hold Western suppliers accountable for the solutions. Developing countries do not want to admit their status because it may scare multi-national investments away. As the deadline approaches contingency planning becomes more important.

Berlinger and Sinofsky: extracting the evil within

Article Abstract:

Bruce Sinofsky and Joe Berlinger are prizewinning documentary filmmakers who become friends with subjects, murderers, to get at the truth. They have looked at the infatuation that the US has long had with violence, crime and death. They contemplate the nature of pure evil, which Sinofsky says lies dormant in 95% of us, going back to our basic nature, which has the ability to hate and kill, to want to taste blood, but usually is not released.
