Strengthening the biological weapons convention

Article Abstract:

The Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BWC) of 1972 is in need of special attention from the world communities. Although the treaty bans the development of non-peaceful chemicals, verification procedures have been limited. Studies also reveal that the cost of manufacturing biological weapons is lower than producing nuclear weapons. Efforts should be made to ensure reduction of biological weapons.
