Jury tampering allegations debunked by the record

Article Abstract:

Dr Walter E. Williams' claimed that the four black jurors on the Simi Valley Jury trying the Rodney King Case were disqualified due to their meeting some NAACP members just before the trial began. However, all four jurors resigned pleading that they were being put to financial difficulty by being on the panel. Ex-NAACP member James Smith's greeting of the four African-American jurors did not go beyond a perfunctory hello which the judge ruled would not affect court proceedings, and the jurors were retained on the panel.
