Article Abstract:

Pediatricians can find useful patient education material on the World Wide Web. Information on the Web is generally more current than many print materials and it can often be printed out free of charge. Web sites are given for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the International Food Information Council Foundation, the American Medical Association, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Food and Drug Administration.

Pensions in an international perspective: privatizing and contested control

Article Abstract:

Governments are increasingly pressured to privatize pensions to effectively deal with a sluggish economy and an aging population. Capital owners and government officials also want a supply of funds for nascent stock and bond markets to be used in privatization programs. However, privatization of pension programs creates new challenges to labor unions and new international standards on workers' rights and pension investment must be established if pension programs are to be privatized.

New Paraiba color source

Article Abstract:

The rare copper-containing tourmaline mined in Paraiba, Brazil was discovered in the 1980s and became scarce to unavailable by the late 1990s. But blue-green tourmaline, similar to those found in Paraiba, surfaced again in the market in 2001, and this time they come from Nigeria. Properties of the gemstone are discussed.
