Peril or progress? Interpreting changes in family life

Article Abstract:

There are clear evidences seen on the deteriorating quality of the American family life. These include the increase in divorce rate and illegitimacy rate and the decline in marriage rate and fertility rate. These facts give birth to a false culture of progress which renounces the abiding principles and virtues of fidelity, devotion and selflessness which are the foundations of marriage and family life. Likewise, progressivist intellectuals contribute to this deterioration by promoting ideologically engineered utopia which is connected with political ambitions and agenda.
