Article Abstract:

Issues related to manners in which the National People's Congress (NPC) could be improved are examined. Topics include opening NPC meetings to the public, procedures for developing a national budget, limiting the powers of the presidium, and the need for competitive elections.

Revelations from the tide: Words to my readers from the bottom of my heart

Article Abstract:

A comparative study of the constitutions of China and 110 other countries as contained in 'A Complete Book of the World's Constitutions' is conducted and the results are provided for those interested in the subject both in China and in other countries. Eighteen issues are examined and the relevant ratios on the basis of 110 countries in terms of percentages are calculated to better understand the tide of constitutional government.

On General Principle

The constitutions of some countries including China have a set of general principles that are made up of the main constitutional principles and institutions of special importance. The thirty-two articles in the General Principles of the constitution of the People's Republic of China as well as the fifty-eight issues involved are presented.
