Socialism in transition: documents and discussion

Article Abstract:

The Russian Communist party was officially re-established as the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) at the Second Emergency Congress on the Restoration and Reunification of the Communist Party, in between Feb 13, 1993 to Feb 14, 1993. About 527,000 people joined, bringing total membership to 500,000, compared to 16 million in the 80s. The majority of members under communist rules were dissenters. A number of articles are presented higlighting the aims and objectives of the CPRF. There is also an interview with the leader of the Co-Pres of the League of Green Parties, Sergei Fonichov.

Hubert Harrison, the brilliant writer, orator and political activist is described as one of America's greatest minds. Race-consciousness among African Americans is described to be necessary as a measure of self-defense and a means of challenging white supremacy.

Afrocentricity, ecocentrism, and ecofeminism: new alliances for socialism

Article Abstract:

The reform-minded groups that develop new and similar philosophies are described. Afrocentricity has laid the foundation for a new philosophy which is parallel with the work of deep ecologists and philosophers.
