Article Abstract:

Determinism and 'bifurcation' - the form of choice which operates in nature in which it can go this way or that are discussed. Parallels between human history and the narrative element of nature are drawn and the future of humans as 'networked' individuals is postulated.

The increasing interest in religion among Americans will not substantially improve the deteriorating state of society unless people learn to be more tolerant of others' beliefs and culture. Essentially, mutual tolerance is the unifying element of a society.

The negative effects of technology on the labor market can be minimized by adopting an economic security platform based on various principles. These include the availability of health care, lifetime education and pension security.
