The poor and managed care in the Oregon experience

Article Abstract:

Issues regarding the mixed success of Oregon's mandatory Medicaid managed care program are discussed. Areas of concern related to applying managed care to the Medicaid population are listed, survey data indicating satisfied Oregon Medicaid managed care recipients given, and steps the state has taken to reduce the problems of underprivileged recipients discussed.
